There are more points of interest in the world of Edo's 3 than simply the three Villages. In some parts of the world - or in worlds beyond the physical world, there are many places to go. Below are some of these less popular places that exist but aren't so well known in.

Kami no Tochi also known as the "Land of the Gods" is a purgatorial realm lying somewhere in between Takamagahara (Heaven) and Earth. It is here that departed souls ascend until they are properly judged and also where some more heroic or determined souls are tested in order to be given another chance in the physical plane of existence. This place is where Mystics dwell, many are lesser known and/or neutral when it comes to the divine and it's also where Amatsukami are banished until they can be further judged by an even higher power, usually in the form of Amaterasu-ōmikami. Only Mystics may pass freely into and outside of Kami no Tochi. Yūrei and Yōkai may be allowed passage, however, this is normally forbidden for Humans... and Humans must either die or go into a deep state of meditation, enough for their consciousness to ascend into Kami no Tochi, though their physical bodies would remain on the Earth's surface.
